Her real name is Stacy Ann Ferguson, but you can call her Fergie.
Just not Fergie-Furg anymore.
Anyways, one of the smartest moves she ever made was leaving her old singing group, Wild Orchid, to join the Black Eyed Peas in 2001. You know what happened next. BOOM! She became a worldwide sensation proving her vocals to the band as the grew bigger and badder every year, before peaking in 2012.
However, she dabbled in a solo-career in 2006, which spawned her comercially successful album “The Dutchess,” which spawned hits such as “Big Girls Don’t Cry” and “London Bridge.”
She’s the daughter of two teachers and had absolutely no connections to kick in the door for her. She did everything by herself. She landed the role of “Sally” when she was a kid in a couple of Peanuts cartoons that were animated back in the 80’s. Yep, that’s her in It’s Flashbeagle, Charlie Brown (1984) and Snoopy’s Getting Married, Charlie Brown (1985.)
She was also a cheerleader, a straight-A student, and a spelling bee CHAMPION. Ergo, this girl has a big brain and she loves using it to write potent lyrics and sell out stadiums all over the world.
