Fourteen first responder hockey teams from Fairfield and Westchester counties will face off for kids starting Friday, April 4, at the Sound Tigers' second annual First Responders Hockey Tournament at Webster Bank Arena, which will benefit Westport-based Save the Children's programs. The weekend tournament, which runs Friday, April 4, through Sunday, April 6, will pit 12 local police and fire department teams from 11 towns against each other, culminating in the First Responders Hockey Tournament championship game at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 6. The championship game will be followed by the Bridgeport Sound Tigers' First Responders Night, the Sound Tigers' 3 p.m. match up against the Hershey Bears.
Tickets for the entire weekend, which includes all tournament games and the Sound Tigers game, are $20, with $4 from every ticket going to Save the Children. Tickets are available through the Sound Tigers, and each of the local first responders teams.
