The Problem Due to declining results from newspaper and magazine advertising, Connecticut Fertility Associates needed a new way to reach their target audience of women 25-44. With offices in Norwalk, Bridgeport and Orange, the challenge was to find the media capable of both reaching the target and covering their market. | The Process Initially the Doctors were very hesitant to use STAR 99.9. While they understood the power of the radio to reach their audience, they were also concerned about maintaining their professionalism and credibility. The Plan We decided that the initial campaign would be to support existing Open House events help by CFA. With the goal of increasing attendance to their next open house we developed a high frequency schedule over a 10-day period. The attendance at the open house exceeded their expectations both in terms of numbers of people as well as being the right prospective patients | The Performance Based on the success of the open house, the doctors agreed that STAR 99.9 needed to be part of their future advertising. This client has become an annual advertiser on STAR 99.9. The doctors and staff now report that their radio commercials generate 20% increase in visits to their website as well as regular new phone calls to their offices from prospective patients |
