Passenger was once a four member band stemming from the UK that formed in early 2000's. They released one album as a group called Wicked Man's Rest. The band parted ways in 2009, and lead singer/songwriter Mike Rosenberg decided to continue playing solo under the name Passenger.
Mike became a street performer (or busker) on the streets on NYC. He said it wasn't an easy thing to do and making money that way was difficult. Passenger released his first two solo albums between 2009-2012 and gained a following in Australia. He started to get recognition here in the States after the release of his third studio album, All The Little Lights. Passenger was then asked to be the opening act for Ed Sheeran and joined Ed for his North American tour dates. The lead single off his latest record is "Let Her Go." That song has topped charts in 16 countries. His sound has been compared to The Lumineers. I personally hear a young Cat Stevens. If you like melodic tunes that flow with heartfelt lyrics then you will enjoy "All The Little Lights." Passenger said Ed Sheeran changed his life, watch the clip below!
