We all know that 2016 was the year of unfortunate celebrity deaths. Icons such as Gene Wilder, Arnold Palmer, Alan Thicke, Prince, Carrie Fisher, Debbie Reynolds. The list goes on and on. The human population was #done with the year. And as the new year rolled in we all hoped that 2017 was going to be a better year for all.

Well, that lasted a whole 25 days.

Mary Tyler Moore, another iconic actress, has passed away at 80 years old in Greenwich Hospital. She is well known for her sitcom, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, her role in The Dick Van Dyke Show, and the 1980’s film Ordinary People in which she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress. Moore was a ground breaking actress for her sitcom which was praised by feminists everywhere. She influenced so many modern actresses of our day today, which seems pretty well accomplished if you ask me.

If you look at younger pictures of her, she looks phenomenal. Ugh, the legs on that woman!!! What I would do at the gym for legs like those. And as a Greenwich resident this death is a big deal. I’m very sad. We’re all mourning. She was such an influence on women across the world. She practically made wearing pants cool for ladies! I LOVE pants! One day I’ll do something like that. Like, having a chocolate stain on your shirt will be ~cool~. You can count on it.
