Low Cut Connie; w/ Rusty Things - Low Cut Connie began on a sweaty little tour of Portugal when New Jersey-born piano-pounder Adam Weiner (aka Ladyfingers) and Birmingham UK's favorite garage cat Dan Finnemore decided to join forces and form a rock n roll supergroup. They met with frequent Weiner collaborator guitarist/engineer Neil Duncan at the tiny analog studio in his garage in Gainesville Florida. Over 4 scorching days, the boys tracked their first record, "Get Out the Lotion." Their brand of raw and raucous rock n roll brought the band immense notice. In March 2011, the legendary rock critic Robert Christgau (aka "the Dean of American Rock Critics") gave the album a glowing review, which heralded an onslaught of major press and accolades. Rolling Stone gave the album a stellar review, which was soon followed by a major feature on NPR's top-rated national program "Fresh Air with Terry Gross." NPR's critic Ken Tucker (the editor-at-large for Entertainment Weekly) rhapsodized about the inspiring and bracing energy of Low Cut Connie.
