Dan Lavoie, Jake Klar NY based singer/songwriter Dan Lavoie’s style brings a fresh new sound to the table with influences of rock, folk, blues, classical and funk jam messed together to create what many have called traveling music. His music reflects personal life experiences, through heartache, pain, love and hope for a better future. Lavoie’s musical journey started at the age of 12 in his hometown of Pawling, NY. His biggest influence at that point was his older brother Mikie. Dan would flip his brother’s right handed guitar upside down like Jimmy Hendrix and play left handed. For several years Lavoie dove deep into the music of Jimmy Hendrix, Chet Atkins, Jerry Garcia, Metallica, Eddie Van Halen, Phish and many other artists having a big impact on his soloing techniques. Along his musical journey Dan fully embraced the path of a singer/songwriter while staying true to his electric roots creating a very unique sound.  Lavoie would later emerge as one himself Lavoie has made a name for himself touring across the US using the road as a centerpiece for his creativity and inspiration.  Dan made #7 on Hudson Valley’s TOP TEN Best Concerts for his show at the Towne Crier Cafe.
