She began practicing meditation with Chan Master Sheng Yen in 1978. In 1999, she was among the first students to complete the Dharma Teacher Training Program initiated by Chan Master Sheng Yen. She has led workshops and retreats at Dharma Drum Retreat Center in Pine Bush, Dharma Drum Mountain Fairfield County Branch, Chan Meditation Center and Stony Brook University.
