"The Fields of Margraten: Bitter Harvest" - Playing with Short Film "Prayers For Peace" 6:30 pm Catered VIP Reception followed by the film screening.   In 1944, the Netherlands town of Margraten had 1300 residents. By the V-Day there lives had been changed forever after a US Army company of 280 African American service men were commanded to take over much of their farm lands and dig the largest American and Allied forces cemetery in World War II, interring over 28,000. In 2009, one of those gravediggers and a New Fairfield resident, Jeff Wiggins was interviewed during the making the sobering documentary: The Fields of Margraten.    Prayers for Peace: Dir. Dustin Grella Animation Pastels on a slate chalkboard underscore life's impermanence as the artist confronts the memory of his younger brother killed in Iraq. Film & Reception - $20.00 $20.00
