Quiescere Resource Center (QRC) presents the We Care for Haiti - Fashion Show Extravaganza to raise funds for the 1199SEIU We Care for Haiti Survival Kit Drive initiative. QRC, non-profit 501 (c)3 organization established in 2003, is aimed at providing services and resources to the immigrant population based on Long Island.  It has been a major sponsor of the 1199SEIU We Care for Haiti Survival Kit Drive for the Women of Haiti project since its inception.  It is continuing its support by hosting the Fashion Show.  Proceeds raised from this event will be used towards the advancement of the Survival Kit Drive for Haiti.The We Care for Hait Survival Kit Drive for the Women of Haiti, a national initiative, was established in February 2010 to provide hygienic kits to the women that survived the devastating earthquake.  To date over 17,000 kits have been assembled and distributed in tent sites, rape counseling centers, medical clinics, summer camp programs, and schools.  Due to high demand, a men's kit has been added to the initiative.  With the goal of providing 50,000 men and women with emergency hygienic support, our work continues.  Although the media spotlight has dwindled on Haiti, the men, women, and children of Haiti still need our help.Join us as we celebrate our local talents.  Enjoy an evening fashion, music, food, networking and entertainment.  Confirmed designers:  Mashood, FCC Urban Wear, and Estelle's Dressy Dress.  Frantz Casseus of BET Comicview, Def Comedy Jam, Bad Boys of Comedy, will be our head entertainer.Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.  Location: Yes We Can Community Center; 141 Garden Street, Westbury, NY 11590Contact:Vicki Sylvain at 347-541-1244Ashlyn Merovee at 516-808-4348  We Care for Haiti - Fashion Show Extravaganza 21.49 Vendor/Exhibitor Fee 103.49 I am interested in making a donation to support the Survival Kit Drive for Haiti.
