Adam Lambert’s voice is so incredible that he has been put to the task of filling in for Freddy Mercury on the Queen tour. So far, his efforts on stage have proved successful, with many of the Queen shows being sold out across the nation and getting constant praise from long time Queen fans as well as the remaining members of Queen themselves. Ironically, Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” is what Adam chose to sing for his American Idol audition. He had been channeling Freddy’s out-of-this world persona, and voice since the beginning of his very early career.
Of course Adam had been a superstar in the making all along. As a young child, his parents put him in musical theater productions because of his extremely high energy level. Singing, acting, and performing felt very natural to him and also gave him a great outlet for all his liveliness. Adam worked in various theater productions around the U.S. until he decided to audition for the 8th season of American Idol. He had a realization while attending the famous Nevada art festival, Burning Man, that he needs to try and “make it” as a singer. He was the runner up on that season of American Idol and released his first album shortly after that. His most famous single off of it is”Whatya Want From Me”, which was actually written by his friend, Pink.
Adam came out with another album in 2012, which had some songs produced by Pharrell. A little after that he was invited to sing with Queen for a show in the U.K. Adam did so well that he was invited back on tour. Adam has a lot of talent and he just can sing so well- if you have never heard his voice then you definitely need to. He has also hinted at a new album coming out later this year, but no set date on that yet.
