Music You Should Know: It's All About Me

Whether these new songs are singing about broken hearts or self esteem, they all have one thing in common: they're singing about themselves and, more importantly, how they feel!

Charlie Puth featuring Selena Gomez – We Don’t Talk Anymore

This song has such a funny back story!  Originally, the song was considered as a solo project, until Charlie decided to approach Selena about having her sing the 2nd verse.  Surprisingly to him, she was totally down for the collaboration and, oddly enough, recorded that entire bit... in a closet.  Yep, it's true.

With him teaming up with the most followed person on Instagram, paired with his success from his last collaborators, Meghan Trainor and Wiz Khalifa, it's safe to say this song will do just as well.

Meghan Trainor – Me Too

New England's very own Meghan Trainor isn't showing signs of slowing down as her follow-up album, Thank You, continues to dominate sales charts.  I mean, she's been a chronic hit-machine since she blasted into the scene with All About That Bass.  Me Too kicks her funky vibe up a notch and, yes, we get to hear more of her sweet rapping skills.  Oh, and, be careful... this song has a nasty habit of getting stuck in your head.

What also helped this song land on our radar is the controversy over the music video!  Meghan totally lost her mind when she found out her creative team photoshopped her waist in the video, and had it taken down immediately.  Good to see that she embodies every word in this song, she loves herself the way she is and won't have it any other way.
