Music You Should Know - Sexy Summer Songs Are Here!

Oh my my... Charlie Puth and Niall Horan are showing off their sexy and emotional sides.

Niall Horan - Slow Hands

Niall Horan was never marketed as the "sexy one" out of One Direction.  That went to Zayn or Harry Styles.  But, Niall may have the most sex appeal out of all the 1D boys and this song is proof.  Sure, it's no Zayn power ballad or Harry's smolder... but sometimes soft gentle voices are exactly what we ladies want to hear.

Also, it doesn't hurt that Niall posted a video of him singing this song shirtless.  So, there's that too.

This song is described as "sexy funk" because it has such a unique rhytym to it and it also explores Niall's deeper voice that can hit low notes.  Honestly, it makes the song sound way more seductive than anything he's ever done before.  It's like he's channelling John Mayer and a bit of Justin Timberlake.

Plus, Niall had FUN writing this song, so it's not like he was trying to out-sexy his 1D brothers.  In fact, Slow Hands is kinda toungue in cheek a bit, as Niall explains:

"I wanted it to be a little bit cheeky with the lyric," he explained. "And we wrote this concept.  The first line is 'As long as we should take this back to my place' – and usually that's what the guy would say, but we flipped it that the girl would say that, and that's what she said right to my face."'Cause with the song, like before we even wrote lyrics, we had all this big track and it sounded kind of sexy.  So we thought this concept would match the vibe of the song, and I think we might have been right."

Charlie Puth - Attention

Charlie Puth is jumping on the sexy train this week as well.  Also, I think this is the most I've ever used the word "sexy" in any Star 99.9 post, so... congrats to me!   Anyways, Charlie Puth offers a way more emotionally charged, and some may even say "dangerous sounding," single that sounds steamy.

And that's exactly what Charlie Puth aimed for.  So, he tried to catch that lightning in a bottle for his music video for this song.  However, getting his vision on the big screen took a bit of time.

The song is about him running into an ex-lover at a club, she confronts and throws glass at him, and then they kiss/make up.  Only for the vicious cycle to begin all over again.  So, they hired Australian actress

Apparently, the actress wasn't pretending to scream in the music video.  Oh no, she was actually screaming at him - to the point Charlie got so nervous, he threw upp.  Ew.

Guess he can't stomach the drama, either.

So, rumor has it this song is about Bella Thorne.  However, Charlie is NOT giving out any names and refuses to even placate the rumors.  So, it's up to us to solve the riddle.

So, who do you think this song is about?
