immediate opening for a highly motivated sales professional at Southern Connecticut's top local radio
stations, WPLR, WYBC, WEZN and WFOX. We are looking for a dynamic Local Sales Manager to drive local
advertising sales. Cox Media Group is looking for an individual that understands the importance of building
strong relationships and will love to coach our team members in the field. This is a unique opportunity to

Responsibilities
Reports and works directly with General Sales Manager in developing and executing a strategic plan for the
sales department to meet revenue goals including spot, internet and non-traditional goals. On-going
recruiting program, coach and train Account Managers to maximize customer focused systems (CSS). Field coach
weekly, plan and execute sales training meetings, guide staff in effective key and target accounts. Assist
team in developing effective integrated solutions. Additionally, LSM will help manage inventory and work
closely with the marketing and programming departments to fulfill station objectives.
Qualifications
3+ years in media sales, 3+ years in sales management and leadership experience. High School or equivalent,
BS/BA preferred. Knowledge of the New Haven, Fairfield County and Hartford markets preferred. Strong track
record of developing local direct business a must.
