Star 99.9. Today’s Best Mix

Big Jim and Anna Cliff Notes: Monday, 1/13/14

Miss any of The Big Jim and Anna Show? Here's what happened... in Cliff Note form.

Big Jim and Anna kicked off Co-Workers week with a man who claimed that a co-worker that has “fake” celiac disease is the reason why all the fun snacks have been removed from the kitchen.  He wants the snacks put back into the vending machines and for her to stop dictating what everyone eats.  Ultimately the audience agreed that he was out of line for his accusations and rude.

Last night the 71st Golden Globes.  Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted for a second straight year- and they were hilarious.

Now, the Golden Globes are known for being the awards show where anything can happen because everyone is drinking and socializing.  And there sure were some unscripted nutty moments…. Like when Jacqueline Bisset won Best Supporting Actress in a Series- It took her forever to get to the stage which was actually a reoccurring issue all night because people couldn’t maneuver through the tables to get to the stage- Anyway, she got on stage… was silent for an awkward amount of time…. Then went off on a curse filled tirade:

Now, Jim called it that Jennifer Lawrence would win best supporting actress in a motion picture and she did- But he also claimed she would swear and she was one of the few winners that didn’t.

More awkwardness with Diane Keaton- She was there to present/accept Woody Allen with an award- but Woody Allen wasn’t even there because apparently he doesn’t leave NYC… ever.  Diane Keaton was dressed in a tux basically gushed over him- then sang this random song:

Diane Keaton Honors Woody Allen - Cecil B... by IdolxMuzic

The best part of the night in my opinion anyway was when Amy Poehler won Best Comedy Actress in a TV Show- She first made out with Bono then made her way to the stage- But what really cracked me up was what happened back stage when she was asked about how her night went - Also, when Tina and Amy took the stage together again Tina said to Amy “There’s a special place in hell for you” which was a direct tongue in cheek diss to Taylor Swift.

Big Jim and Anna had some predictions as to what would happen at the Golden Globes-

 1.      Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will make some joke about the length of Wolf of Wall Street.  (Anna takes this bet one step further and says it will happen during the opening monologue)

RIGHT! The last joke before the first award was presented was a direct comment about the length of the show and Martin Scorsese calling it “the first act”.

 2.      One leading lady will have a new, super short haircut that will blow up the Internet into a frenzy.

WRONG! No starlet debuted a new hairstyle.

3.      Jennifer Lawrence will win Best Supporting Actress for American Hustle and will swear during her acceptance speech.  (Anna DISAGREES with this and says it will go to Julia Roberts for August: Osage County.)

Jim got it right that Jennifer Lawrence did win Best Supporting Actress but she did not swear.
