Identity Thief which stars Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy was number one this past weekend at the box office, but it isn't the movie that's getting national attention, it's the reviews.  New York Observer's film critic Rex Reed not only trashed the movie, he took it to a personal level calling Melissa "tractor sized" and a "female hippo"- he even goes so far to call her a gimmick comedian who has devoted her career to being obese and obnoxious.  More about his barbaric statement and how people are reacting here.

This year Sports Illustrated has created a six page style guide targeted towards women in their swimsuit edition. They say that 18 million read the edition each year and that the new spread will appeal to women and promises the women readers that they can look like the models... (Yeah, right.)  So if you want to get beach hair and learn to wear "beach" make up- Then this is your year. More here.

Beyonce is fiercely private but she is finally talking about her life in a HBO documentary called "Life Is But a Dream".  It airs Saturday.  She talks about her relationship with one year old Blue Ivy.  Calling her a "homey" and "best friend"- She even takes her on the road with her.  Tomorrow is Beyonce Day on Star 99.9 which means we'll be giving away tickets all day to check her out when she comes to Mohegan Sun this summer!  Win them before you can buy them!  More info on the interview here.
