Marshmallow is beautiful cat but deaf and gets startled more and more at the shelter. He loves people and maybe another cat. He needs a home soon!

We don't know much about Marshmallow's past. He showed up in the yard of a nice lady. She took him in and immediately noticed he was wearing not ONE, but TWO flea collars which were so tight they were surely causing severe discomfort. She got the collars cut off and started a long process of cleaning this very dirty little guy. Well, after a few baths, much to her surprise out popped this gorgeous white cat. She had no idea he was white, that's how neglected and filthy he was. One thing we have discovered about Marsh is that he is DEAF. It doesn't make him a total special needs boy, but one must be aware of how to approach him. He startles if he does not see you. We actually found a great home for him. Unfortunately we also found out that he absolutely cannot live with a dog! Poor Marsh had to come back. The family said he was an absolute love with them, as long as the dog was not in the house! Marshmallow is a sweet, year and a half old medium haired beauty. He is very talkative when he wants to eat! Once fed, he goes off for his nap! He is holding his own at the shelter but appears to be intimidated by lots of cats around him. We think he will be fine in a home with another cat or even as an only cat. Once he feels secure in his forever home he will shine! Please, someone give this precious cat the loving home he so deserves. He is neutered and up to date with his vaccines. He is FIV/Felv negative. He is ready to be your new best friend!
