VIDEO: Murdoch Pied in the Face By Tad Lemire
Rupert Murdoch told British MPs he is not responsible for a phone hacking scandal that has rocked his global empire, in a dramatic hearing interrupted when a protester tried to attack the media baron with a white foam pie.
The 80-year-old News Corporation chief's Chinese-born wife Wendi Deng leapt up and slapped the assailant, who was dragged off by police, before the parliamentary committee resumed quizzing Murdoch and his son James.
The attack came near the end of more than two hours of questioning on Tuesday when the Australian-born Rupert Murdoch denied ultimate responsibility for the scandal which forced him to shut down the News of the World newspaper. More.. (source: 9News)
