Greg's Tips For Keeping Your Animals Safe in the Heat 

When walking the dog try to walk them in a shaded area. The hot pavement can burn the pads on their feet.

Never leave pets in a parked car. Temps rise rapidly in this weather, heat stroke is possible.

Don't leave dogs outside tethered to a tree or anything else, and always have plenty of water available.

If you have a long haired dog you might want to consider a shorter haircut in extreme weather like this. I

f you have a dog with a shorter flatter snout such as a pug, keep in mind that breathing is harder for them with this poor air quality.

If you see a dog outside for extended periods of time and you feel that it is in distress, call your local animal control ASAP!
