Oscar Winners
The 84th Annual Academy Awards were handed out last night. The Oscars were hosted by Billy Crystal for his ninth time. Crystal got the ceremony off to a lively start with a star-laden montage in which he hung out with Justin Bieber and got a wet kiss from George Clooney. Crystal also did his signature introduction of the Best-Picture nominees with a goofy song. Christopher Plummer became the oldest Oscar winner in history when he picked up the Supporting Actor prize for his role as an elderly widower who comes out as gay in “Beginners.” “You’re only two years older than me,” he crooned to his statuette; he’s 82, the Academy Awards is in its 84th year. A record-holder with 17 nominations, Streep became only the fifth performer to receive three Oscars last night when she took home Best Actress for her role as Margaret Thatcher in “The Iron Lady.” Jack Nicholson, Ingrid Bergman and Walter Brennan all earned three, while Katharine Hepburn won four. Streep last received an Oscar for 1982’s “Sophie’s Choice.” Though she has the most acting nominations, she also has the most losses – 14. As expected, “The Artist” took home Best Picture. The major winners include:

Best Picture: “The Artist”

Actor: Jean Dujardin – “The Artist”

Actress: Meryl Streep – “The Iron Lady”

Supporting Actor: Christopher Plummer – “Beginners”

Supporting Actress: Octavia Spencer – “The Help.”

Directing: Michel Hazanavicius – “The Artist”

Foreign Language Film: “A Separation” – Iran

Documentary: “Undefeated”

Animated Feature Film: “Rango”

Governor’s Award: Oprah Winfrey, Dick Smith and James Earl Jones

Did Lopez Have Wardrobe Malfunction?

Here we go again. Jennifer Lopez appeared to have a wardrobe malfunction while presenting the Oscars for costume design and makeup with Cameron Diaz. Clad in a low cut, white gown that looked liked it might have been painted on, a bit more of her breast played peek-a-boo than she might have liked. Twitter’s abuzz about it, but there’s no comment from Lopez or the Academy. Whether it happened or not, who will ever forget when Lopez turned heads at the 2003 awards in a low front and back green Versace gown. Whether it happened, it’s already got a Twitter handle: @JLosnipple, which has more than 500 followers already.

Angelina Jolie's leg also now has a Twitter account!

Sacha Baron Cohen Acts Out At Oscars

Sacha Baron Cohen took shameless promotion to a whole other level on the red carpet of the Oscars last night. After a much-hyped public spat with the Academy, the button-pushing actor arrived dressed as Adm. Gen. Shabazz Aladeen, complete with an urn of the late Korean leader’s remains. Not only did he show up dressed as his character in the upcoming movie, “The Dictator,” but he spilled the urn filled with fake ashes of Kim Jong Il all over Ryan Seacrest on live television. The actor rolled up to the awards in a white Rolls Royce stretch limo with green Republic of Wadiya flags. He brought a pair of models in sexy military garb as his dates, rather than real-life wife Isla Fisher or Hilary Swank, whom he previously claimed (as Aladeen) to have paid $2 million to escort him. During an interview with E! host Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet, Baron Cohen/General Aladeen “accidentally” spilled the ashes on Seacrest, who appeared visibly flustered on camera as security pulled the actor away.
