Madalyn Ruggiero is a freelance photographer trying to get some publicity for her photos. She takes pictures of her dogs dressed up in costumes. Ruggiero paid $6,000 for a Los Angeles billboard of her dog dressed up like Ellen Degeneres in the hopes of getting her dog Denali on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." The billboard read: "Ellen, Denali the Dog Wants to Meet You." Instead, Ellen's lawyers have made her take down the billboard after 5 days because the clothes are too close to the ones worn by Ellen. They also have a problem with use of the name "Ellen" on the billboard. An "Ellen" publicist said she did not know about the controversy.
