A group of pediatric cancer patients are sharing their strength – and their dance moves – with the world, thanks to a new music video making the rounds on YouTube. The video features patients and staffers on the hematology/oncology floor of Seattle Children’s Hospital lip-syncing and dancing to Kelly Clarkson’s hit song “Stronger.” Some patients belt out the words, some hold up handwritten signs with messages like “Stronger” and “Hope,” and others shimmy through the hallways or whip out breakdance-style moves. According to the hospital’s blog “On the Pulse,” the video was the brainchild of 22-year-old Chris Rumble, who found out he had leukemia in April. A fan of Clarkson, Rumble picked the song, which repeats the chorus, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger,” because he thought the lyrics were fitting for the group’s experience as young people living with cancer. Clarkson shared the video on her Twitter account late Tuesday night. “Oh my goodness y’all have to see this! It’s beautiful!” she wrote. “I can’t wait to visit these kids and nurses!”
