She made her return to music in 2018 after a long hiatus, and with the success of “Call Me Maybe,” Carly Rae Jepsen very well could’ve taken her riches and been a very wealthy one hit wonder, with that song being featured in movies, lots of radio spins, and just about every TV show.
But, in 2016 she released another album “Emotion” and the lead single “I Really Like You” (complete with a music video starring Tom Hanks, of all people, she rocketed right back up the charts again.
Jepsen actually performed with Katy Perry on her “Witness” Tour as her opening act in January and February.
If she’s proven anything, she’s a hit maker. No matter how much time she takes off, she keeps making hits.
