MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Is Olive Oil really considered juice?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Is Olive Oil really considered juice?

I’m not sure why, but this fact blew my mind when I read it. I use olive oil pretty regularly. Cooking, with salads, dressings, all the time! But this never crossed my mind.

Olive Oil is actually considered a “fruit juice”. The reason being, olives are a fruit so by definition olive oil is fruit juice.

I just can’t imagine drinking it straight up out of a glass for some reason.

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Super Dad sets marathon world record with help from his quintuplets

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Super Dad sets marathon world record with help from his quintuplets

We can all agree that running a marathon or half-marathon is very difficult. Now imagine doing it while pushing a stroller… with FIVE kids.

That’s what this Super Dad in northern California did recently to break world record for running a half-marathon in 2 hours and 19 minutes. All while pushing all five of his quintuplets in a stroller

He says that he has done stroller runs before in the past but this is the last one he’ll do. Understandable! Especially because the kids are four years old which is A TON of weight to push.

I have a 3 year old and a 5 month old and that double stroller wears me out just walking around the block.

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why is it called a piggy bank?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why is it called a piggy bank?

If you’ve ever dropped a coin inside a fake pig you’ve probably wondered “why is it a piggy banks? what do pigs have to do with money and saving” Well, nothing actually.

Piggy banks got their name from an orange clay people used to make pots and jars in the Middle Ages which was called “pygg”. When people would have extra coins, they’d put them into a pygg pot.

Over time people would request different shapes for the clay. One of the most popular being the shape of a “pig”. Which has stuck ever since.
