Jared and Izzy’s daughter is twelve years old and mildly overweight. Dad wants to send her to a nutritionist and put her on some kind of diet, he thinks it’s a gateway to being obese and his entire family is very overweight- so it’s in her blood. They need to address it now. Mom says he’s lost his mind, their pediatrician has acknowledged that she is overweight, and they should try to make her more active but if they bring in nutritionists and diets, it’s only going to make her more self-conscious. She thinks its body shaming her, let her be. She may just grow out of it.
