 Jim and Amber’s son is going into his freshman year and really wants to try out for the football team. Mom is anti-football, she thinks it takes up too much of his time when he should be focused on his studies, it’s dangerous, and he’s not very athletic. He should stick to theatre like he’s excelled at in the past. She thinks he’s only saying he wants to quit the stage and join football because it’s “cooler”.  Dad says that you have to let him try, if it’s something that he’s interested in, let him decide for himself.

He says they’re in their 70s now, they need him and it’s his responsibility to help as much as he can. She says his brother doesn’t help, why should he if they don’t ask?

He ignored that because he figured he “would figure it out when it happened.” Well, it happened. His wife, Jaylin, wants him to quit his job and find something else, they’re not moving. He says that the job market isn’t doing well and that would be a big mistake. He says he’ll move and rent a place temporarily while he looks for another job. She says it’ll be devastating for the kids to not have their dad home for an extended period of time. Whose side are you on?
