Tuesday, June 3, 2025: Raven’s Old Phrases; Sending Venmo to The Wrong Person; Copywriting Our Own Skills!

Raven uses some phrases that Anna thinks needs to be retired. Would you know what he meant if he said these?

Raven had a mishap on Venmo and sent the wrong person $175! He was going to let it go but his wife wanted him to get the money back!

CVS Receipt Competition! Anna and Raven agree that CVS Receipt’s are unnecessarily long and have a competition for you to compete in!

Taylor Swift made a huge deal to own all her music! Anna and Raven talk about the things they want to copyright so they can own it too; it’s not what you would expect!

Anna said “Funky Cold Medina” on the show last week and Producer Julie had never heard of that song! There are some songs that everyone should know! Anna and Raven play them for Julie to see if she knows them!

Mount Etna erupted yesterday, and people had to run! Anna and Raven talk about the last time you had to just run!

Anna has a bird who continues to run into the sliding glass door. What can she do to make this stop?

Kendra was adopted and recently found her birth parents. It turns out they live close by. She’s at a point in her life where she’s comfortable meeting them. Her husband, Mike, feels like she may get hurt and have the old wounds open, and that it might not turn out the way she likes.  He doesn’t want to tell her what to do but doesn’t want to see her get hurt. What would you do?

Patty and Teressa have a chance to win $800! All they have to do is answer more pop culture questions than Raven in Can’t Beat Raven!

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: CT Designer’s Genius Jacket Is a Game-Changer for Sports Fans

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: CT Designer’s Genius Jacket Is a Game-Changer for Sports Fans

In today’s Tell Me Something Good story we learn about the Connecticut designer who is getting major attention for uniting fans of different teams under one epic jacket. Alex Ruffin’s “Madison Square Guardian” jacket combines vintage Knicks and Rangers gear into a single, stylish piece that a fan of both teams can wear proudly. Handmade and up-cycled from thrifted items, these jackets have been turning heads from the streets of Connecticut all the way to Madison Square Garden. They’ve even been spotted on some famous pro athletes like Knicks star Jalen Brunson, who has been rocking the $1,400 “Madison Square Guardian” jacket. Yankees star Jazz Chisholm Jr. also was wearing one of Alex’s jackets, the “Hometown Hero” Yankees/Knicks design. A few rappers like Westside Gunn, Anderson .Paak, Lil Yachty and Big Sean are also big fans of Alex’s work.

Alex’s company A Thrifted Temple is now getting a lot of attention in the sports and fashion world. And it all started right here in Connecticut.

Now, me being from Boston, I was shocked to see that even as a NY fan he has created this sweet Celtics/Patriots jacket! You can see all the rest of his creations at athriftedtemple.com

Meet Dublin the Dapper Kitten

Meet Dublin the Dapper Kitten

Meet Dublin! This week’s Connecticut Humane Society Pet of the Week. He’s a tiny, mostly white kitten with a splash of black on his head that looks just like a stylish little cap. At just a month old, Dublin came in with his mom and siblings and is gearing up to find his forever home. He’s playful, cuddly, and still figuring out life (nap schedules are very important). During the segment Kathryn and I also chatted about the Connecticut Humane Society’s Pet Food Pantry Program, which helps fill hungry bellies for pets and families in need. Want to help? Visit CThumane.org/FilltheFreezers to make a difference today!
