TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: A Pizza Diet that just might work?!

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: A Pizza Diet that just might work?!

Happy National Pizza Day! While you’re eating you slices later tonight maybe this will make you enjoy them even more. I feel like I should put a “do not try this at home” disclaimer ahead of this because it doesn’t seem like it work for everyone, but it did for this guy!

A personal trainer in the U.K. just completed his 30-day PIZZA DIET! Yes, he ate pizza for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every single day.  At the end of it all he somehow LOST seven-and-a-half pounds!

Now, he says he also had to mix in snack like protein bars in between meals. But all the main meals were pizza. He averaged 10 slices a day, which equaled about 300 slices in one month. Crazy.

He did have a few rules along the way though. For one, he made all the pizzas himself instead of ordering out. That certainly helps keep it a little healthier. He also tried to keep it around 2,000 calories a day.

His goal was to prove to people that you don’t have to sacrifice foods you love in order to lose weight, you just can’t overdo it. Moderation is the key. He says he did it to show people you don’t have to sacrifice your favorite foods to lose weight.  He posted photos of the before and after look and even did a full video about it.

The next idea he wants to do is The Burger Diet.  I have a feeling that one will be a lot harder.

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: There is actually a real technical term for the crust of pizza

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: There is actually a real technical term for the crust of pizza

Happy National Pizza Day! All your life you’ve probably just called it “the crust” when eating a slice, but there is a technical term for that outer edge of the delicious pie. It’s called the “cornicione” (Italian: corn-ee-chone-ey). In English is pronouced “Cornice”. The word means the “end crust”. Which makes sense.

It doesn’t really matter what it’s called to me, as long as it’s crispy!
