MUNDANE MYSTERIES: What to say when thanking all six branches of the military

Today is Veteran’s Day. Thank you to all the men and women who have served or are currently serving. Thank you to their families as well.

A common mistake some people make it referring to all military as “soldiers”. When really a soldier is someone who served or serves in the Army.

Here are what the other branches of military go by…

Army, Soldier

Marine Corps, Marines

Navy, Sailors

Air Force, Airmen

pace Force, Guardians

Coast Guard, Coast Guardsmen.

No matter which brand you’ve served in… THANK YOU.

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Hundreds of people rally to save group of stranded dolphins

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Hundreds of people rally to save group of stranded dolphins

This one is for all my animal and mammal lovers out there.

Last Friday 16 dolphins got stranded on a beach in Nova Scotia, Canada. As people started to help them the word got out on social media. More and more people saw what was happening and showed up to help with shovels, tarps, and sleds.

All the help worked because they managed to save all 16 dolphins thanks to over a hundred people showing up.  Everyone from high school students, to adults, and parents with kids were a part of the rescue.

Well done!

It’s no secret that some of the brightest people on earth work for NASA. We all know they can build spaceships, rockets, and fancy space suits. But who knew they are to thank for a lot of the things we use in life every single day!

Some of the many products that came from NASA inventions are memory foam, freeze-dried food, smoke detectors, water filters, joysticks, cordless tools, and satellite TV.

So thank you smart people of NASA for all of these things. Amazing!
