MUNDANE MYSTERIES: What is Giving Tuesday?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: What is Giving Tuesday?

As we all double check our bank accounts and credit card balances from the haze of Black Friday Cyber Monday weekend… today is a day to offset it. Giving Tuesday.

Giving Tuesday is always the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving.  The idea is that instead of buying things for yourself like we’ve all done over the weekend, it’s about being generous and donating/giving to others.

Giving Tuesday was first celebrated 10 years ago in 2012. Now at the 10th anniversary there are more than 85 countries who participate. Last year here in America people gave about $2.7 BILLION!

So find a non-profit or charity you’re passionate about and be part of this year’s Giving Tuesday.

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: The Rock makes amends with store he used to steal from

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: The Rock makes amends with store he used to steal from

Dwayne The Rock Johnson is arguably one of the most famous people on the planet at this point. From his wrestling career to now an A-list action movies star. But this wasn’t always the case. When he was younger and didn’t have a lot of money he would go to the same 7-11 store near where he lived and steal a Snickers bar every day.

Now years later he wanted to make things right with the store for all those years of shoplifting. So he recently went back to the same store and bought all the Snickers bars on the shelf. Paying full price for them all. He also bought everyone’s stuff who was waiting in line for making them wait to ring up all the candy bars. He agree to take pictures with them all too.  As you can imagine they were shocked to see him there.

You can see the whole thing on the video he posted to his Instagram.
