Tuesday November 15, 2022: Fridge Feast; That Bill You Hate; Brady’s New Beau

It’s one of American’s oldest holiday traditions, but is this the year we all realize that Black Friday is officially dead? (:30)

Are you up to date on this week’s biggest news stories?  Anna and Raven will get you caught up on what’s trending, including the near-fatal accident that happened to a late-night legend! (3:11)

It’s an issue every year, but if you’re disrespecting Thanksgiving by how you’re decorating your house, that’s all I need to know about you! (6:05)

What bill do you hate paying? A major celebrity has once again announced multiple pregnancies and his child support payments have risen to astronomical heights! (9:14)

How early is too early to meet a new partner’s mom?  Producer Jon found himself in exactly that situation, and Anna isn’t sure he handled it properly… (28:47)

The internet has always been the digital Wild West, but Elon’s Musk’s new version of Twitter has taken the insanity to a new level!  (32:45)

Brynn and Carson have been dating for three weeks. Brynn is upset that even though they were at an event together, Carson posted pictures of the event on his social media but cropped her out of photos. He said he’s not ready to be social media official. Do you think that’s rude? Or is he right? (36:24)

Patty thinks she’s got what it takes to beat Raven in pop culture trivia!  Can she succeed and win the $3500 jackpot? (44:10)

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: The first early sign that the holiday season has arrived

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: The first early sign that the holiday season has arrived

There are many things that give your body the warm and fuzzy signal that the holidays are approaching. One of my favorites is the arrival of the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree!

I just loved the imagery of the tree arriving on the flatbed truck and the anticipation of the official tree lighting, which this year will happen on November 30th. It’s a Norway spruce with over 50,000 multicolored LED lights.

Can’t wait!

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Can animals get sunburned?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Can animals get sunburned?

When we as humans are going to be in the hot sun too long we put on some sunscreen. But what do animals do? Can they burn like us?

It’s actually a neat trick from mother nature. One example are Hippos’. Their skin can naturally produce sunscreen. Crazy right? Their bodies release a red fluid that works as an anti-bacterial and a sunscreen protecting them in the hot sun of where they mostly live in Africa.

I wish our bodies could do that!

Is it ok to use an electric knife to cut your Thanksgiving turkey?  Anna bought one from Amazon and is going to put it to the test on the air! (13:37)

If you could have a superpower, what would it be and what would your superhero name be?  Most adults would have boring, practical answers to that question, so Anna and Raven asked some kids instead! (17:36)

Have you ever found out something about your parents that you wish you didn’t know?  Producer Sean heard a story about his mom’s youth that he can’t unhear! (21:09)

Do you have a weird hobby?  One of Anna and Raven’s co-workers works on her strange hobby for literally months at a time! (28:01)

Craig and Alicia have a college aged son and he’s bringing home his new girlfriend for Thanksgiving. Alicia wants to set up the guest room for her, but Craig says that’s ridiculous, she’ll stay with their son in his room. Alicia says no way, it’s inappropriate, Craig says it’s up to them to decide, they’re adults. Whose side are you on? (35:49)
