It’s been 10 years to the day since the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown. A day that affected so many of us here in Connecticut. But even the face of tragedy can come good and healing.
Over the past 10 years Jenny Hubbard who’s daughter Catherine lost her life that day has created many tributes to her daughter based on her love of animals. The annual Catherine’s Butterfly Party had 10,000 people attended this year. She has also been creating the Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary in Newtown. A place for people to spend time connecting with animals and finding peace. Today they broke ground on the build out for the facility.

Horse racing. When the jockey would have a big enough lead that he could relax his arms and hands from holding the horse and still be ahead by enough to win the race.

Holly’s father asked her husband, Jeff, to put $300 on his credit card when they were shopping at Home Depot because he had forgotten his wallet. Now, it’s a few weeks later and he has yet to pay him back. Jeff wants to say something to his father-in-law about it, but Holly thinks it’s rude to ask for the money.
