TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Some parents have solved the morning school commute in the best way

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Some parents have solved the morning school commute in the best way

“Bike Buses” are what people are calling the newest trend among parents and kids. They are popping up more and more all around the country. Basically a big group of parents and middle school/high school aged kids all get together to ride their bikes in a big group to school in the morning. Then home in the afternoon.

It’s kind of a genius way to solve the bus driver shortage. Remember that from earlier in the school year? It also gets the kids some much needed exercise and even cuts down on the always infuriating traffic situation in the morning during the school year. Some of the kids say they are even in better moods throughout the day because of it.

What a great idea. Let’s get a few of these going here in Connecticut!

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why do late night shows start at 11:35?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why do late night shows start at 11:35?

Leno, Letterman, Conan, Fallon, Colbert, you know all the famous names from over the years. The host of Late Night Television. The Tonight Show and The Late Show which have always started at 11:35pm instead of 11:30pm. Why is that?

The 11:35 start time began in the 90s when the Gulf War was going on. Networks wanted the extra 5 minutes of news coverage on the war in the 11 o’clock broadcast. Then it’s just stayed that way ever since.
