A U.S. Army veteran named Jason Wilson has been getting a lot of buzz on the internet lately from his new idea called “Meat Therapy BBQ”. He describes it as a way to heal through BBQ.
Like a lot of vets, when he wasn’t serving anymore he says he struggled to get back in the swing of things with regular civilian life. So he decided to combine two things he loved barbecue and helping/serving others. Now it’s a unique way for him to not only help himself but also other vets.
We haven’t had a ton of rain this summer, but when we have you probably noticed that distinctive smell that happens once the rain ends. But where does that smell come from?
There’s actually a name for it… petrichor. Basically all the oil from various plants falls off and dries on the ground. Then when it rains, that oil combines with a type of bacteria to produce the smell that we all know and love so well. If you’re lucky you even get a rainbow to go along with it.

By now you’ve probably heard about the devastating flooding in Kentucky. Not only have a lot of residents lost their homes and belongings but also a lot of pets have been displaced.
Connecticut is taking in 15 dogs who have lost their homes and families. They will be up for adoption here in the state in hopes of finding them a new home.
So great to hear that CT is helping out these pups!
