TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: The tragic viral moment between a kid and his hot dog is now paying off for him

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: The tragic viral moment between a kid and his hot dog is now paying off for him

You might have seen this video last week that went viral of this poor kid at a Chicago White Sox game who dropped his full hot dog on the ground and had the funniest reaction.

Now a famous hot dog place in Chicago is stepping up to make things better. The Wiener’s Circle (great name btw!) has offered to throw him a party with unlimited hot dogs for him and all his friends. Smart move by them. And amazing week for this kid!

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why are school buses yellow?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why are school buses yellow?

A lot of Connecticut schools go back to school next week and the week after. Which means you’ll start seeing all those yellow buses on the streets again in the morning and afternoon. Of all the colors why did they choose yellow for school buses?

The reason has to do with safety on the roads. It is because yellow is the one color that your peripheral vision sees at least 1.24 times faster than any other color.  Red is the second fastest, but I’ve never seen a red school bus.

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Connecticut restaurant hopes to bring home best buffalo wing trophy

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Connecticut restaurant hopes to bring home best buffalo wing trophy

With a few weeks left in summer you can almost feel the football, pumpkins, and fall air around the corner. Which also means eating delicious buffalo wings every weekend in front of the TV. There are A LOT of great wing places here in Connecticut but only one who will compete for the title of “Best Buffalo Wing” in the world.

The Blind Rhino, who you might have been to their SoNo or Black Rock locations, are heading up to Buffalo, NY on Labor Day Weekend to compete in the National Buffalo Wing Festival. As you can imagine this is the super bowl of wings. Literally in the stadium where the Bills play with wing places from all 50 states and over 30 counties competing.

I will say… The Blind Rhino have delicious wings so I like their changes. Good luck!
