TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Thoughtful restaurant owner helping out with baby formula shortage

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Thoughtful restaurant owner helping out with baby formula shortage

Even if you don’t have babies who need formula you probably know someone who does and is directly affected by this formula shortage lately. As frustrating and awful as it is, there is a sense of community that has come along with it. People doing all they can to help their friends, family, and sometimes even complete strangers find what they need.

Like this restaurant owner down in Texas. He figured out that he could purchase a large amount of baby formula through his food distributer he uses for the restaurant. He has been giving out the formula for free to people in the area who are in need. He said it’s his way of giving back to all the people who helped keep his business alive during covid.

Love that.

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Where did the phrase “getting cold feet” originate?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Where did the phrase “getting cold feet” originate?

We’ve all been nervous in our lives, sometimes to the point that you “get cold feet” and decide not to do something. But how did that saying come to be?

It was originally a military term that warriors would use when their feet would get literally frozen into the ground during the winter. It would prevent them from rushing into battle to fight.
