TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Connecticut is the Number 1 ranked state in the country for this job

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Connecticut is the Number 1 ranked state in the country for this job

Always good to be number 1. Especially when it comes to work life.

Connecticut has ranked number 1 in the country for best states to be a police officer in.

The research used many different date points to figure out the list. Things like job opportunity and competition, training requirements and job hazards and protections.

Connecticut beat out everyone scoring almost a 60% which put us right at the top.

Thank you to all of the police officers out there who keep us safe every day. And if anyone is looking to join the force, CT is the place to do it!

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: What is the difference between a University and a College?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: What is the difference between a University and a College?

With graduation season here I thought it would be good to go over what makes a university a university and a college a college. I always thought it had to do with the size of the student body, but it’s not that at all.

The biggest distinction is that the kind of degrees and programs offered are much different.

A University means it’s a larger institution which offers both undergraduate and graduate programs. A College often means community colleges, technical schools, and liberal arts.

Congrats and good luck to all the 2022 grads!
