This crossed my mind while my wife and I were at Sesame Street Live in Bridgeport with our two kids last weekend. Cookie Monster, easily my favorite character. But does he have a name? He does! His first name is “Sid”. Apparently it was revealed on a 2004 episode of Sesame Street.
The other thing I wondered was does he only eat Chocolate Chip cookies? I ended up discovering something even more mind blowing. Cookie Monster has never actually eaten a cookie on the TV show. They always used rice cakes with brown dots on them to get that crumbs flying affect when he eats them. Makes sense right? But crazy.

The star’s were out in their fancy clothes at Monday night’s Met Gala in NYC. The theme this year was Gilded Glamour. Lots of black and gold. Everyone looked beautiful in their gowns, dresses, and outfits. But three of the celebs posing for photos were styled by Westport Resident and fashion designer, Christian Siriano. You might remember him from Project Runway. He was posting on his Instagram the looks he came up with for singer Normani, British TV host and personality Alexa Chung, and tennis star Caroline Wozniacki.

If you ever did want to buy your own fast food joint an be a franchisee there are some that might be more affordable than you think. For example, it only costs about $400,000 to own a Subway franchise! That’s basically like buying a house.
If you want to go bigger and be the owner of say, a McDonalds, that’s going to cost you somewhere in the $2.2 million range. The upside is you’ll bring in more revenue, but it will be harder to come up with that initial investment. Good luck!
The Met Gala’s theme this year was “Gilded Glamour”. The theme names are really an excuse for celebrities to wear elaborate costumes. What if the Met Gala was just that?, a costume party. What would be your theme? Catch up with the podcast.
