It’s acceptable to dress down a little bit when you are taking a long flight, but if you dress all the way down like one celebrity did, that’s all I need to know about you!  (4:12)

What are the unspoken rules of your household? Anna found an article about the unspoken rules of American culture, but it’s nothing compared to the rules of Raven’s household!  (8:11)

What gross thing does your family member do?  Anna got a text from a listener whose aunt does something unacceptably gross every time she cooks a chicken!  (12:02)

When you have a bad day, do you ever get yourself some sympathy snacks?  One NFL coach had a really bad day, so he ordered himself a feast of epic proportions!  (22:44)

Anna is on a mission!  She has until Monday to crochet a masterpiece and auction it off to raise money for animal shelters!  The only problem is, she has no idea how to crochet.  So she called Bonnie Gregson, a knitting and crochet expert, to help her out!  (26:43)

Neither Teresa or her husband Brandon are fond of the painting and when Brandon found out that it was worth $15,000, he decided they should sell it! TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Pizza Maker serving up free food for those in need

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Pizza Maker serving up free food for those in need

Since it’s National Pizza Week I’ve been featuring pizza themed stories when I can find them.

This guy named Ram Mehta owns two pizza places in north Texas. He also founded a charity called Everyone Eatz (fantastic name) that feeds people who can’t afford to pay for it.

He put up a sign on the window of the restaurant that says “anyone can get a couple slices, no questions asked”.  He also lists his phone number on the sign in case the staff doesn’t give it to them or gives anyone a hard time they can call him personally.

Ram was homeless himself at one point and he always remembers the lesson his mother taught him to “never forget where you came from”. When she passed away three years ago he started the free pizza and has been doing it ever since.

Love this.

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: How long will a pencil last?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: How long will a pencil last?

Pencils aren’t used as much these days but if you do use one it will last you a pretty long time. The average pencil holds enough graphite to draw a line about 35 miles long! That’s also enough to write roughly 45,000 words.

Writer’s cramp anyone?!

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: The reason everyone will be looking at their quarters this week

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: The reason everyone will be looking at their quarters this week

When is the last time you looked at your quarter when you got change back at the store? Probably been a while right? Soon you might want to pay attention. Here’s why.

The late Maya Angelou, writer and civil activist, is about to become the the first Black woman to appear on U.S. currency. The U.S. just minted a new quarter with George Washington on the front, and Maya on the back.  They went into circulation on Monday. So keep an eye out for them!

It will be the first in a series of American Woman quarters. Five women, including the first Chinese American movie star and the first woman to fly to space, will be featured on these new quarters this year. Pretty neat.
