TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Teacher makes Hot Cocoa bet with students at recess… has to pay it off

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Teacher makes Hot Cocoa bet with students at recess… has to pay it off

This story is another great example of how awesome teachers can be.

A teacher at Washington D.C. made a bet with her students while playing basketball at recess that she now has to pay off.

Third grade teacher Ms. Katz at Holy Trinity School told the kids IF she made this crazy almost half court shot they would all have hot chocolate when they went back in. Shockingly…. She drained it! Here is the video:

The clip has now gone viral and apparently the school is overwhelmed by people reaching out to make donations and support the school. To which she responded:

“We gratefully accept donations of any amount and will use all of them for financial aid and scholarships. Please go to http://htsdc.org/give. The Annual Fund provides financial aid, and the Gavigan Program provides full scholarships.”

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Can you eat your Christmas tree?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Can you eat your Christmas tree?

I know, I know, seems like an insane question. But you’ll be surprised by the answer!

Here’s the thing… if you are really in to recycling, you actually can eat your Christmas tree. The needles provide vitamin C. And if your tree comes with pinecones, the pine nuts can be healthy too.

Some Christmas trees are donated to local zoos as food for the animals. Who knew?!
