TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: The delicious way a Connecticut woman is helping families in need

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: The delicious way a Connecticut woman is helping families in need

There are very few things that can make everything better. A great home cooked meal is one of them.

A woman from New Milford named Danielle Weisberg understands this more than anyone. She has been baking lasagna for families that are going through hard times.

Any time she hears of someone going through a crisis her and a group of volunteers fire up the oven and get cooking on lasagna. They even named the program “Lasagna Love” which is a fantastic name.

The lasagna looks very tasty too.

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why do we say “Ring in the new year”?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why do we say “Ring in the new year”?

Before celebrating with champagne toasts, confetti, noise makers, resolutions we won’t keep… people used to say farewell to the previous year and welcome the new one by ringing actual bells, often in churches.

Decades before people stood in Times Square for hours without going to the bathroom to watch the ball drop, crowds of people would go to Wall Street’s Trinity Church for New Year’s Eve. Which now, is the home to the graves of Alexander Hamilton and several of his relative, they would “ring in the New Year” with a concert put on by the church’s official bell ringer.

How fun?! I might have to bust out some bells this year for 2022.
