We’ve all been there before you answer a wrong number or call a wrong number by accident. But how many times do you actually stay in touch with that person?!
Over two decades ago a woman in her 50s named Gladys Hankerson tried to call her sister in Maryland, but dialed the wrong number. A random guy from Rhode Island named Mike Moffitt was the one who answered on the other end. He was in his mid-20s at the time. She apologized and hung up, but then dialed the same wrong number again, so so they had a laugh and started to talk.
Now over 20 years later, Gladys is 80 and Mike is in his 40s. They STILL keep in touch! She says he’s a “very nice person,” and she loves him to death. The craziest part? They had never actually met in person. Until last month when they met each other in real life for the first time. He was traveling from Florida for Thanksgiving, and stopped by to see her.
Christmas is around the corner, the holiday season is here. That means you’re probably shopping nonstop lately. But why is “red” the color every store decides to use for decorations and ads this time of year?
There have been research studies done by the retail industry which show that consumers spend more money when they see the color red. So it all comes down to the psychology of shopping.
If you want to save money this season, just don’t look at the color red I guess.

Santa make kids all around the world smile every year by bringing presents to their home. And sometimes people dress up as Santa to help others on their own. Santa’s kindness spreads far and wide.
Like this group of 230 people up in Maine who held their annual charity every last weekend at Sunday River Ski Resort after missing it last year because of covid. They all get together in Santa suits to ski and snowboard down the mountain raising thousands of dollars for a group called The River Fund. All to support local education programs and recreation in the area.
This must’ve been quite the Après Ski party with all those Santa’s too.
