MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why do we always vote on Tuesdays in November?

Today, Tuesday November 2nd, is Election Day across the country and here in Connecticut. But why do we always vote on a Tuesday?

Much like daylight savings time it all comes down to the farmers. In 1845, when the day was decided, it was agreed upon that farm workers needed a day between Sunday and the day they voted for travel. Election day has stayed on a Tuesday ever since for over 150 years. In recent years there have been some initiatives to try and move it to a weekend day.

I think it should at least be a national holiday. That way everyone is off from work and school and can get out to the polls.

Police recommend you search your child’s room every six months to make sure they aren’t hiding something they shouldn’t even have. With that fact, Anna searched her daughter Hayden’s room, so Raven thought it was only fair that someone searched her belongings…

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Tinder For Dogs

If you have a dog this idea might change your life. In a good way.

This isn’t even an ad or anything it’s just such a cool idea. Basically it’s Tinder for dogs.

The idea was created by this guy in Toronto. The app is called Pawmates and helps you find other dogs in your area for your pup to play with. So, sort of like going to the dog park but on your phone.

And who knows maybe you’ll meet someone on there too. A feel dog owner to fall in love with.

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Do babies see in color when they’re first born?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Do babies see in color when they’re first born?

This mystery was something I thought of when my wife and I welcomed our second child a few weeks ago. Can she see in color? What does she see?

The answer seems to be that newborns only see in black and white when they are first born. Then over a few weeks they start to see shades of grey. It’s not until about 4 months that they slowly start seeing in color.

Crazy!
