TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Boy gets around the school bus driver shortage in very creative way

The school bus driver shortage has become a real problem across the country and here in Connecticut. Now students are coming up with creative ways to solve their problems.

Like this one 12-year-old in Colorado named Josh who decided to take things into this own hands when he realized he couldn’t take the bus. Their family lives on a reservoir with the school on the other side, so Josh started taking a kayak across to school evert day! Brilliant!

He was a little late the first time he tried it, but everyone understood why he said. Once winter comes he plans to ski across when the water freezes over. He’ll be getting his daily workout in at the same time that’s for sure.

MUDANE MYSTERIES: Why are highway signs always green?

MUDANE MYSTERIES: Why are highway signs always green?

I don’t know about you but I’ve noticed more cars on the road than ever. It feels like every weekend it’s more and more people out on the road. While sitting in traffic last weekend I wondered why are all the highway signs always green?

The green coloring is a way for the sign to simply inform the driver about something that’s coming up that they might need to know without completely distracting them on the road. The green helps it sort of blend in.

If you come across a sign that is bright orange, yellow or red those are usually meant to get attention and warn the driver about something. To stop, upcoming construction or anything like that.

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Sky diver’s parachutes get tangled in mid-air, hug their way to safety

Sky diving has always terrified me. I’ve never had the urge like some people do to jump out of a plane. And stories like this one are why.

Two police officers were doing a sky diving drill in Thailand when two of their parachutes got tangled on the way down. The procedure for this and what they were instructed to do is to hug each other tightly in mid-air until you safely get to the ground. Terrifying but it worked and they both landed safely.

The video is incredible…
