MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why is the time on the iPhone always 9:41 in commercials

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why is the time on the iPhone always 9:41 in commercials

Today Apple announced it’s new iPhone 13, making your current iPhone instantly feel old. Like always. Over the next few weeks you’ll probably see a lot of commercials for it. If you look close you’ll see the time on the phone is set at 9:41. Just like every other iPhone commercial ever. But why that random time?

This was the time that Steve Jobs announced the first ever iPhone at an Apple Event in 2007. During these events the main product is always announced 40 minutes into the presentation. This one obviously started at 9:00am. Then they give it an extra minute buffer incase things get delayed.

Happy New iPhone Day!

The Met Gala was last night, which is basically a big costume party for rich and famous adults.  But all the coverage of the event kept using the same phrase to describe the guests, and Anna thinks it’s a blatant lie!  (4:19)

Have you ever had to over-tip the Uber driver because of something that you did?  Anna managed to fit something ridiculously large into a Prius, and she definitely felt the need to tip the driver more afterwards!  (8:19)

Toddlers do funny things all the time, but how would you react if a 3 year old dropped the F-bomb in front of you?  Anna talked to Child Psychologist Dr. Joe Schippa about the appropriate way to react to adult language begin used by children.  (15:31)

It’s tough to spend all day on your feet, but if you need to physically support yourself while standing at a urinal, that’s all I need to know about you! (19:00)

How many pushups can you do?  The average person can’t do 20, but Raven claims he could do 50 back in the day!  So Anna decides to put that to the test…  (22:06)

What are you afraid to drive behind on the highway?  After watching her husband attach a new feature on their car, Anna no longer trusts any car that has one! (25:08)

Tammy and Alex are getting a divorce and they have to figure out what to do with their cats!  Tammy wants to take both cats with her, but Alex says this is unfair and that he should get to keep one of them!  Whose side are you on?  (35:51)

Kelly has got a shot at 1500!  All she has to do is beat Raven in pop culture trivia!  (42:40)

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: College football fans save cat that fell from upper deck

Fans are back at sporting events and we have started to see some of the wildest moments ever. Including this past weekend when a stray cat wandered its way into the University of Miami football stadium on Saturday.

The video, which went viral over the weekend, shows the poor cat clinging for its nine lives from the edge of the upper deck area.

Luckily there were a group of fans below on the concourse with an American flag of all things to catch the cat safely. Who then proceeded to hoist the cat up like Simba from the Lion King to roaring applause from the crowd.

I guess you could say this cat has 8 lives left…

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why are they called Teddy Bears?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why are they called Teddy Bears?

You probably have more than a few Teddy Bears laying around your house. But where did they get their name?

It’s actually really interesting. Teddy bears were named after former president of the United States, Teddy Roosevelt. They were such a huge success that another toy company tried to recreate the magic and buzz with the next president, William Howard Taft. This time selling possums named “Billy Possums”.  Shocker, not as big a hit. ha ha.
