Unless of course we are talking about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, most real life turtles all look exactly the same. So how can you tell if they are male or female?
There are two common ways to tell them apart. First is to listen closely. Apparently female turtles will hiss, and male turtles will grunt. The other visual way to tell them apart is by their tail. Female turtles typically have short skinny tails, while males have longer thicker tails.

So many people down south were affected when Hurricane Ida rolled through a few weeks ago. Including lots of pets and animals.
Now a lot of shelters here in the tri-state area are doing their part to help welcome in arrivals from down south. After Ida caused over $50 million in damage lots of animals need new homes. If you have been thinking of adopting now is a great time to do it and help out some of these rescues.

Tis the season for pumpkin everything. And also the burning question in everyone’s fall household… are they fruits or veggies?
Technically they are considered a FRUIT, which blew my mind. It’s apparently because they are the “edible reproductive body of a seed plant.” Vegetables are the other parts of a plant that don’t have seeds, like leaves, stems, roots, and flowers.
So there you have it. When you’re pumpkin picking this year you can tell you’re kids they are a fruit.
