TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Former flight attendant will honor 9/11 victims in his own unique way

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Former flight attendant will honor 9/11 victims in his own unique way

We are quickly coming up on the 20 year anniversary of 9/11. Crazy that it’s already been TWENTY YEARS since that awful day.

A lot of people will be honoring the victims and paying tribute in their own special ways. This one 62-year-old former flight attendant named Paul Veneto will be doing something really cool. He knew a lot of the crew members who were on the plane that hit the South Tower. Starting next month he will be pushing an airline beverage cart 220 miles. Starting in Boston and ending at Ground Zero in New York City.

You can follow along with his journey and donate at PauliesPush.com

Such a cool idea. Good luck Paul!

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Are Olympic gold medals made of solid gold?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Are Olympic gold medals made of solid gold?

If you win a gold medal at the Olympics are you actually getting a solid 100% gold medal?! The answer is actually no.

In fact full gold medals haven’t been given since the 1912 Olympics. Today’s Olympic Gold Medals are actually made mostly of all silver. Then there is small thin coating of about 6 grams of gold so it can meet the standard laid out in the Olympic Charter.

Fun fact about this year’s medals for the Summer Olympics in Tokyo… they were made from 80,000 tons of recycled electronics. The medals in Tokyo weigh about 1.2 pounds each. If they were all made of pure gold that would end up costing close to $32,000 per medal, based on current market prices for gold. So you can see why they opted for the coated instead.

Now if you ever meet someone who has an Olympic gold medal you can share this with them!

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Husband surprises wife with anniversary gift 14 years in the making

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Husband surprises wife with anniversary gift 14 years in the making

There’s always that one thing from your wedding day that you wish had gone differently. Imagine if your wedding video footage was completely erased?! That’s exactly what happened to this couple… or so they thought…

Drew and Kayla Gottfried who live in Oregon got married 14 years ago.  They found out after their honeymoon from the people who videotaped their wedding that all the footage had accidentally been ERASED. Unreal.

Now, 14 years later it turns out the footage wasn’t actually gone after all. Drew was recently given the video from the people who ended up finding it all these years later. Instead of showing his wife right away he waited for their 14th anniversary and gave it to her as a gift. Not just any gift either… he rented out an entire movie theater and. told her they going to watch her favorite movie. Obviously to her surprise the wedding video started playing.

The best part? He got her reaction on camera and now it’s going viral on TikTok…

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why don’t we sneeze when we’re sleeping?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why don’t we sneeze when we’re sleeping?

I bet you’ve never sneezed while sleeping. Thank about it… it’s never happened!

The reason is that our brain actually shuts down the ability to sneeze while you’re sleeping. If for some reason you get some dust in your nose or something physically makes you sneeze your brain will wake you up first. But other than that you’re brain is smart enough to send a signal to make sure you get those precious Zzzzz’s without grabbing the tissues.
