TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Teenage Sets Out To Mow 50 Lawns For 50 Veterans This Summer

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Teenage Sets Out To Mow 50 Lawns For 50 Veterans This Summer

If there is one chore I absolutely hate it’s mowing the lawn. Luckily there’s people like this kid who love doing it for a good cause.

A 14-year-old in upstate New York named Nathan Adams started his own lawn-mowing business last month and calls himself “The Lawn Kid.” Great name by the way. Perfecting branding for his lawn mowing buzz this summer. Nathan is on a mission to mow 50 lawns for 50 veterans, all for FREE.  His grandfather passed away in February, and he was an Army vet.  That’s what inspired him to do this in the first place.

Good luck Nathan! This is awesome.

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Is pepperoni an Italian food?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Is pepperoni an Italian food?

I’ve always though my whole life pepperoni was an Italian food… it’s actually not! WHAAAAAT?!

Pepperoni is in fact an American food.  Mind blown. In Italian, the word “peperoni” with one “P” is the word for bell peppers and there’s no salami type item named “pepperoni” with two “P’s” that is commonly used as a pizza topping. Just here at pizza places across America.

So I guess next weekend for the 4th you can celebrate with some American Pepperoni during your cookouts.

Friday June 25, 2021: The Time You Got Stuck; Raven’s Report Card; Mommy’s Margarita Friday

Friday June 25, 2021: The Time You Got Stuck; Raven’s Report Card; Mommy’s Margarita Friday

They say that if you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life!  But Anna was surprised at a study that measured how long it took people to start hating their job!  (:30)

Have you ever gotten stuck?  A 14-year old in New York got stuck in a dressing room, and it took the fire department to get her out!  (2:54)

Every parent remembers the birth story of their children, but one woman’s roadside delivery is Anna’s literal worst nightmare!  (13:32)

We all lead busy lives, but if you don’t respond to an RSVP for something this important, that’s all I need to know about you!  (17:22)

Playoff hockey is starting to heat up (no pun intended!), but Anna noticed that Islander fans were doing something strange after the game last night… (21:22)

Every Friday, Raven’s wife Alicia calls in to give him a grade on how he did as a husband that week!  Alicia took a trip to California last weekend, so Anna is curious to hear about how Raven did in the house by himself!  (24:26)

It’s time for Mommy’s Margarita Fridays!  Moms (and Dads!) call in the crazy stuff their kids did to them that earned Mom a margarita!  (28:24)

Stacey is one of those people who likes to share their entire life on social media, but her husband Dan doesn’t like it when she shares details of arguments they’ve had to the public.  Should she stop, or is Dan being too sensitive? (31:36)

Bryan and his son Andrew are teaming up to beat Raven in pop culture trivia!  Can they pull it off and claim the $1600 jackpot? (38:05)

Ed Sheeran Has Returned As A Vampire In Video For New Song “Bad Habits”

Ed Sheeran Has Returned As A Vampire In Video For New Song “Bad Habits”

We’ve missed Ed Sheeran the last few years. You might remember back in December of 2019 Ed announced he was going to take a break from music and social media to recharge a bit. Then a few short months later Covid hit extending his break a bit longer than expected. During his time off he became a father! He and his wife Cherry welcomed their first child to the world in the fall of 2020.

The new song he released today is called “Bad Habits” which he says is about how he has changed his approach to life and work since the birth of his daughter Lyra last year.

There’s a fun vampire themed video too!

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: High School Principal Gives Seniors The Most Thoughtful Gift Ever

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: High School Principal Gives Seniors The Most Thoughtful Gift Ever

It’s still graduation season and the good stories keep rolling in from seniors. This one is from a school in Palm Coast, Florida.

A principal named Jeff Reaves is starting to go viral after he wrote 459 personalized notes. One for every graduating senior at his high school.  He walked around and left them on the kid’s seats before they got their diploma at graduation. What a thoughtful idea as a sendoff to the graduating class. That’s the type of person you want as your principal. His hand must have been hurting after writing all those, but it’s totally worth it. The handwritten note is a lost art and we should bring it back like he did.
