TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: NASA Just Flew A Helicopter On MARS

If you haven’t been following all the Mars news lately there is some pretty cool stuff happening. First of all… we got there. Which is already pretty amazing.

Now, NASA’s tiny helicopter made a successful first flight on Mars Monday morning.  It didn’t break any speed records or anything but it did hover about 10 feet off the ground for 39 seconds. Which is pretty impressive for being 180 million miles away. It’s the first powered, controlled flight we have ever done on another planet.

We’ll be booking our MARS summer vacations before we know it.

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why is it called 7-UP?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why is it called 7-UP?

I’ll be honest I haven’t had many 7-Up’s in my day, but whenever I have I always wondered what it stood for. I thought it had something to do with the original price, but that’s not it.

When the creator of 7-Up, Charles Leiper Grigg, came up with the soda back in 1929, he named it after the original bottle it came in which was 7-ounces. The “Up” comes from the direction that the bubbles go when you see them in the soda bottle. Pretty simple explanation. Now I’m thirsty.

In her pursuit to be “The Cool Mom”, Anna bought herself a pair of Billie Eilish jeans to keep up with the latest style. Her only question, do they even make her look cool?

Tuesday April 20, 2021: Your Strange Injury; Oscar Interview Challenge; Sean’s Weird Drink

What’s your sign?  That’s a common question at the beginning of a relationship, but it also has a lot to do with how relationship ends too!  Anna found an article about the different ways each astrological sign gets bored in a relationship and Raven thinks that Anna’s sign describes her perfectly!  (:30)

Are you dealing with an out of control toddler?   Anna’s two-year old gives her a run for her money on a daily basis, so she called in an expert to help!  Dr. Joe Schippa is a child psychologist who has some tips on how to manage effectively manage the terrible two’s!  (3:22)

Binging a new show that you only *kinda* enjoy can sometimes feel like a chore, but if you do THIS to hurry up and get it over with, that’s all I need to know about you!  (7:10)

The race is on!  Anna and Raven want to interview an Oscar winner.  The A-listers have denied them year after year, so at this point they’ll take anyone!  Producers Sean and Jon have been assigned to team Anna and Team Raven, and their job is to find ANY Oscar winner to interview.  Will they succeed, and more importantly, who will they find?  (10:32)

What’s the weirdest way you’ve ever injured yourself?  Raven once spent an entire summer covered in aloe because of a bike accident, and you won’t believe how Anna got the lightning-bolt shaped scar on her leg!  Spoiler Alert: It involves alcohol and a slip’n’slide.  (12:52)

If you had to describe yourself in one word, what would it be?  A new study says that 67% of people describe themselves as friendly!  Anna describes herself as motivated, Raven says he’s resilient, and Producer Jon says he’s outgoing.  But Producer Sean has a slightly unorthodox way of describing himself!  (23:25)

Love is in the air!  Producer Sean went on a first date the other day, but when he told Anna what he ordered for a drink, she couldn’t believe it!  Would you date a guy who orders this on a first date?  Anna left it up to the callers to decide, as well as a surprise special guest!  (26:34)

Couples Court: Sean and Keira’s daughter is getting her license and they’ve both decided she needs her own car. Dad has an old pickup truck that he’s had in their garage for years, he thinks it would be perfect. Mom says no way, they need to buy her a newer car with the latest safety features. Dad says that’s a waste of money, she’ll probably end up crashing the car and ruining it anyway, but Mom says that’s the point in buying something safer. Whose side are you on?  (33:06)

Steve thinks he’s got what it takes to beat Raven in pop culture trivia!  Can he succeed and claim one of the highest jackpots ever?  (39:26)

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Nurse Calms People’s Verves With Dad Jokes

Anytime you go in to a medical environment, doctor’s office, hospital, getting a shot or vaccine, your nerves on high. It can be a very stressful situation of many people. That’s why it’s important for nurses to ease people’s minds when caring for them. Some use creative ways to do this.

This retired nurse in New Jersey named Peter Schultz has been using a really funny tactic. Peter, who refers to himself as “Painless Pete” has been working as a volunteer to administer vaccines lately to over 100 people a day.  Before he gives them their shot, he calms their nerves by telling DAD JOKES. Perfect! Maybe the best way to take someone’s mind off the fact a needle is about to jab into their arm. I love a good dad joke. Ha ha

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: What’s The Difference Between Butter and Margarine?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: What’s The Difference Between Butter and Margarine?

I know they are different but what exactly is it that makes margarine different than butter?

The most biggest difference between the two is that butter is made from dairy and is rich in saturated fats, Margarine is made mostly from plant oils. Making it a good alternative for people who can’t have dairy.
