Big pizza news here in Connecticut this week!
On Wednesday the Connecticut House of Representatives voted 131-9 to make pizza the “State Food”. I’d like to know what those 9 reps who voted against it had to say. Do they just hate pizza? I’ve never met someone who doesn’t like pizza. I did hear that one of them tried to make an argument for the lobster roll being the state food. But lobster is Maine. Everyone knows that. Let Maine have their lobsters and pizza is ours. New Haven is the pizza capitol of the U.S., if not the world. We have the best pizza by far here in the state, so let’s make it official.
The bill now goes to the senate for the next step to getting approved. What do we have to do to get these senators on board? Send them a few pies? Someone get on that please. Let’s try to get this done.

You’ve probably wondered this just as much as I have, or even “Google’d” it before!
The original name they came up with for Google was “Backrub”. Obviously that didn’t stick so they renamed it Google after the word googol, which is a term for the number one followed by 100 zeros.
